Fishing Jacket Gate Fold Birthday Card

Have a family memember that loves fishing?

Why not make them a fun fishing jacket card...

Fishing Jacket Card Idea
Fishing Jacket Card

This card will stand out on the mantel piece. Its colourful, interesting and detailed, and isn't too hard to make! This card uses a piece of A4 Card made into a 5" x 7" gate fold card, embellished with die cuts from Sweet Dixie Fishing Die Set (SDD364)*

I have designed a template for you to download (right click on the image to save)

Here is how I made this Card

  • Take a piece of A4 green card (or any other colour you prefer) and cut down to 10" (w) x 7" (H)

  • Score at 2.5" and 7.5" to create your gate fold

  • Cut on a diagonal at the top left and right to create the collar (keep these bits for step later) and cut the bottom corners as per the template

  • To create the pockets use another piece of card, cut down 4 1.5" x 1.5" squares, and cut on diagonal at the bottom left and right

  • Add the collars with glue, and add pockets to the front with 3D Foam.

  • Using some white card, die cut some fishing die cuts with Sweet Dixie Fishing Die Set (SDD364)* and colour with your favourite medium. I have used alcohol markers.

  • Glue your fishing die cuts to the front of your card, hide some in the pockets

  • Finish off your card with buttons and a sentiment

  • Add die cuts and sentiments inside the card if you wish

I hope you have enjoyed reading how to make this card. I'll list the products I've used below.
